As a service provider we believe that we have an obligation to offer a high level of expertise in our field, after all that is what you, the customer, pay us to do. As an employer, we understand that this expertise comes from the knowledge and skills of our staff and only by continuing to develop our people can we expect them to meet these expectations.

That is why we have created the Aquatrust Training Academy. During our staff appraisal process, all staff were asked to consider their training needs and offered development in a range of areas, including the following:

  • Water treatment
  • TMV servicing
  • Legionella risk assessment
  • Basic remedial works including clean and disinfection
  • Sales
  • Business finance

While we have always given training to staff, we have never approached it in a companywide structured format like this before but now that we are growing so rapidly as a business, we felt that it was the right time to put this in place. We also knew that as well as having staff with varying training needs, we also had a rich seam of talent within the company to help upskill their colleagues. Therefore, this training will be delivered internally by the person deemed to have the most appropriate experience and knowledge. This could be anyone from the MD to one of our plumbers! This peer to peer development will also help build team collaboration.

We offered training appropriate to all types of roles within the organisation. We were delighted that take up of these courses was high across the company, with most opting to participate in order to build on their knowledge and develop their skills.

The first courses will take place in the autumn and access to training will continue on a regular basis.
