Why Aquatrust?
We’d worked with the council before, so we already had a good understanding of what matters to them. When the tender came up in 2023, our teams came together to put forward a clear and confident bid. We focused on showing how we could offer a reliable and proactive service, combining strong technical knowledge with a down-to-earth, practical approach.
Getting started at scale
One of the biggest challenges on this project has been the scale. With so many sites to manage, careful planning and coordination have been key. The council gave us the time we needed to get things organised and deliver the rollout smoothly.
In the first phase, we focused on getting consistent monitoring in place and making sure every site had a clear path to compliance. Communication has been essential throughout, both within our own team and with North Yorkshire Council’s teams on the ground.

Practical tools, clear reporting
As part of the rollout, we’ve introduced electronic log books and compliance tools along with a trial of remote temperature monitoring. This helps us capture data more consistently, respond faster when needed and keep everything clearly documented. It’s a smarter way to stay in control – reducing admin and improving visibility.
A positive impact
Feedback has been positive, particularly around the smooth rollout, clear communication and how quickly we’ve built trust across teams. As the partnership grows, we’re helping North Yorkshire Council stay on top of compliance, reduce risk and free up internal teams to focus on other priorities.
“On behalf of North Yorkshire Council, I'd like to express sincere thanks to the team at Aquatrust for your dedication and hard work over the past year. Your support has been invaluable in setting up this contract successfully. I look forward to our continued collaboration. Feedback across the Council has consistently highlighted the excellent progress of this partnership.”
